Easy Thesis Feedback

My blog is new. Very new. But I’m not new to the web, nor to blog themes. I’ve spent an embarassing amount of money on themes, thinking that they’d do what I needed while giving me the look that I wanted. I always had the Thesis theme in the back of my head but hesitated to use it because I’m just not that great with customization and CSS.

I stumbled on the ThesisThemes.com site, saw the Easy Thesis screen shot and knew that I’d found what I’ve been looking for. I can use the Thesis framework, customize it with no problem (largely thanks to Easy Thesis) and finally feel really good about the “feel” of my blog.

Mark’s customer support is top-shelf. I have no doubt that anytime I run into a small issue (through no fault of the theme) I can drop a line through the support forum and get friendly help in short order.

This is probably the third testimonial I’ve ever given about anything. But I have to say that, if you’re thinking about buying from ThesisThemes, don’t waste your time thinking. Just do it, and get on with your blogging.

I first used Thesis via a designer for my personal site. I loved how intuitive and customizable it was, but as a particular person with minimal skills when it comes to web design, always felt woefully inadequate to get the exact look I wanted on my own. At the same time, when I started shopping around for themes for my new business blog/website, The Travel Belles, I quickly learned that many out-of-the-box themes were extremely limited – one or two things would bother the daylights out of me, and there wasn’t anything I could do to fix them!

Finding thesisthemes.com, was like finding the perfect middle ground. I’ve always felt as if there was a huge gap (think Grand Canyon) of knowledge that exists between an internet/blogging amateur and the experts. With Thesis skins, I can say that gap has been filled.The skins (right now I’m using EasyThesis) make my site appear clean, professional and customized immediately. So I now have a theme I can mess with to my heart’s content… or not.

To top it off, the support forums are fantastic. I’m a little shy and insecure about all this stuff, and it only takes one time of being ignored to shoo me off for good. Mark Hodder has been extraordinarily responsive.

PS – If you check out my site and it looks funny to you, it probably means I’m messing with it again (I’m not really launching until mid-March). You may see strange colors. Yeah, I’m a girl.

Truly, I predict Easy Thesis will be a huge hit for your company. You have no idea how scary and daunting customizing Thesis is for people with no tech sense; your theme will open things up for so many people. There are a lot of folks like me, with an idea but no technical skills. You’re addressing the need currently an unserved market (and a market that is likely embarrassed by their lack of technical skills, and is more likely to give up than get help). – Gina

I have tried a few other themes and skins. So far this has allowed me to do so much more without pulling my hair out. I don’t have to figure out the coding that seems second nature to many giving advice.
