this copy and paste code tutorial doesn’t work for thesis 1.7
is there something else I am supposed to do in terms of playing with css code values?

FYI. Doesn’t work in IE with “em”s opposed to absolute footer size.

I tried it and no luck. I looked at the rendered code and it just isn’t putting the extra divs on the page. Other custom functions are working though.

I found out why… but don’t know the solution. I’m not using the full-width layout. I’m using the fixed-width. That means, ‘thesis_hook_after_content_area’ doesn’t apply. What should I use instead?

I do NOT get why this is not working for me… I’m using just 1 column… perhaps that is why?

We can’t supply you the code for our site, as its part of our original Thesis site, and we wouldn’t appreciate someone just copying our code/style.

It would take quite a bit of time to detail how we did the custom footer, and we have tons of original code in the custom_functions file.

I have seen Kris’s footer tutorial before and she is one excellent tutor. I tried following her instructions and yet still am facing a few problems.

If it is okay with you, could you email me how you coded your custom.css and the custom functions and how the links were created.

Everything should be working with 1.6 just fine. I’ve just tested and didn’t have to make any changes. Let me know what’s not working for you.
